Oslo University Hospital (OUS)serves as a local hospital for Oslo, an emergency hospital for the broader Oslo area, a regional hospital within the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority and carries out numerous national responsibilities. BI Norwegian Business Schoolis one of Europe's largest business schools, boasting around 20,000 students and 250,000 alumni. NGI – The Norwegian Geotechnical Instituteis an independent, international research and consulting center specializing in engineering geosciences, which combines geotechnical, geological, and geophysical expertise. They are currently building a new sustainability hub, named Campus Ullevål, where they will be co-located with research institutions, startups, and knowledge-based companies.
Oslo Science Parkis a hub for innovation and growth, and home to more than 150 startups, as well as multiple incubators and professional clusters. Norwegian Computing Center (NR)is an independent, nonprofit private foundation that carries out research projects for the business community, public sector, and private organizations, both domestically and internationally. Specializing in statistical modeling and machine learning, it stands as one of the leading centers in Europe for applied statistics. The institute employs approximately one hundred staff researchers.
Institute of Transport Economics (TØI)serves as Norway's national hub for transport research, tasked with conducting and promoting studies that support the country's societal and economic development.
